How we rebuild a tank

Gas Tank RENU is a long, time-consuming process, and we control every step of it, unlike slosh coating kits that leave you hoping the rust and debris are gone and the coating sticks.

About half of the tanks we rebuild have already been coated before.

• De-fume and clean the tank, then drill holes in strategic spots to prepare for sandblasting
• Sandblast in a walk-in blast room to remove all dirt and rust
• Cut access holes to remove dents
• Heli-arc weld every hole closed, including any rotten areas
• Pump the coating into the tank, then coat the outside
• Bake the tank in a convection oven

Motorcycle tanks and paint

We restore motorcycle tanks and can RENU the inside only so the outside can be painted. The RENU process will ruin the paint on a tank, so we sandblast the outside to prep it for repainting.

Parts and inventory

We stock hundreds of new gas tanks, sending units, straps, and related parts from many manufacturers, and we stock and manufacture hard-to-find parts for late model and classic vehicles, trucks, and motor homes.
