Long Beach Infiniti Repair
Infiniti is Nissan’s luxury division branding. Infiniti made its debut on November 8, 1989 in North America. It, along with Lexus and Acura, was part of the effort by Japanese carmakers to establish luxury brands with new reputations and branding, distinguishing their models from the Nissan/Toyota/Honda products that Westerners saw as budget economy cars. These brands all debuted in the U.S., selling either unique models or rebadged home-market models, and were not introduced into Japan until much later. Infiniti-badged vehicles, for example, were only introduced to Japan in 2013, with their models being sold under Nissan until then.
Today, the Infiniti dealer network includes over 230 dealers in more than 15 countries.
Infiniti moved its global headquarters from the Nissan corporate building in Yokohama to Hong Kong in 2012, signaling more independence and separation from Nissan, allowing them to develop more unique models and ideas and continue to establish a unique brand identity.
In Infiniti’s case, their models have direct Nissan-branded equivalents in the Japanese domestic market, with the current G series being the Nissan Skyline, the current M series as the Fuga, and the Q45 as the Nissan Cima. The FX series is unique to Infiniti and not sold in Japan.
Infinitis are known for producing reliable, sporty, fun-to-drive models, with a comfortable level of luxury and capable chassis. Their performance division is called IPL, or Infiniti Performance Line, similar to Mercedes-Benz’s AMG, BMW’s M, Lexus’ F, and Audi’s RS trim levels. Their upcoming current lineup will consist of the Q40 (G sedan replacement), Q50 midsize sedan, Q60 (G coupe/convertible replacement), Q70 (M-series replacement), and QX50, QX60, QX70, and QX80 crossovers and SUVs.
