Sluggish, rough idle, or poor mileage? Deposits in the fuel and air intake systems may be to blame.

Deposits build up
Even filtered gasoline forms deposits in the fuel system over time. Tiny particles can slip past the air filter, and cracked intake hoses past the filter can pull in dirty air. Deposits can form on intake valves, injectors, ports, and combustion chambers.
